“The 2021 Pinot Noir “Five & Seven” from Adam Lee is crafted from fruit for hailing from vineyards both in the Russian River Valley and the Sonoma Coast, with the wine coming in at 14.2 percent octane in 2021. The bouquet is excellent, offering up a sappy and red fruity blend of cherries, red plum, beetroot, woodsmoke, a gentle touch of Sonoma Coast fresh herb tones, a fine base of soil, a deft framing of cedary oak and a topnote of rose petals. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and complex, with a beautiful core of fruit, fine-grained, moderate tannins, lovely focus and a long, poised and beautifully balanced finish. This is drinking very well right out of the blocks, but has the balance to also age long and gracefully. 2023-2045+.”
