The 2024 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is back—and we missed it just as much as you did. This is a wine that fully embraces its dual vineyard personality: one from the high energy Green Valley (hello clones 114 and clone 115). The other piece from the cooler, sloped Sebastopol Hills (with clones 115 and 777). Together, they bring out a Pinot that’s textured, structured, and seriously flavorful.
Darker ruby in the glass, it opens with a vibrant perfume of black raspberries, pressed florals, sweet spice, wet stone, and a little mossy earth for good measure. While it’s medium-bodied, this vintage leans into richness and depth—broad-shouldered and plush, but with enough acidity and tannin to carry it for 10–12 years.
Morét used 30% whole cluster for structure and energy, and aged it for 10 months in 60% new French oak from three different coopers to layer complexity and finesse. It was fermented with native yeast, bottled dry, and like all my wines—under screwcap (because preserving freshness is sexy).
Only 145 cases were produced, and yes, Morét touched every cluster with intention—some people whisper sweet nothings to their houseplants… Morét does it to Pinot. This wine represents not just the Russian River Valley, but Morét’s style as a winemaker: full-bodied, flavorful, and always evolving.
Extremely food friendly—pair it with roast chicken, mushroom risotto, or a rainy-night grilled cheese. Just steer clear of spicy heat or dessert pairings. And while 2024 was a heatwave-hopscotch of a vintage, Morét made smarter, more confident choices than ever—and it shows.
It’s not just Pinot—it’s personality in a glass. And Morét can’t wait for you to taste it.
